UPGRADING FROM v1.0 OR v1.0a TO v1.0b:
=====================================
-> Move these 2 files to a TEMP directory for now from your main ROCKIN
RADIO directory:
BADWORDS.LST <- If you have added any badwords to the file.
UMN.DAT
Place the RADIO10B.EXE archive into your ROCKIN RADIO directory and run
it. When it asks if you would like to overwrite the first file, simply
answer "A" to this to overwrite ALL files. ALL files MUST be overwritten
in order to ensure proper upgrade.
Move the above mentioned files BACK into your ROCKIN RADIO directory,
overwriting the ones that came with the archive. That's it!
Your current game will NOT be effected if you follow these simple rules.
You can delete the RADIO10B.EXE archive once you are done to save drive
space.
If for any reason you were experiencing a problem when a player attempted
to [R]ead the Ratings in the game, then you will have to RESET your
game. Otherwise, your game will be kept intact.
WHAT'S NEW IN v1.0b?
====================
-> Had a Sysop who was having troubles with the game allowing the users
listenership to go below 0. There are checks all over the place as well
as other error routines in the game, but his still managed to have a
player get below 0. I STILL cannot find this, but have added a routine
that the door goes to on a constant basis that will *NEVER* allow this
to happen.
-> While I was at it, I instituted a NEW routine that Lounge Software has
come up with for deleting inactive players. This routine is being slowly
but surely added to all multinode Lounge Software games as we speak.
Another player, if in the game when the maintenance was run, was getting
the wrong information from the player data file. This is now fixed.
WHAT'S NEW IN v1.0a?
====================
-> The MAINTENANCE routine within the game was not working correctly. It
is supposed to delete players who have not played for 14 days, but in
it's current state, some players were being overwritten when this was
attempted. All should be fine now.
